Jill Gianola , MS, MBA, CFP®
 
 
Jill is the owner of Gianola Financial Planning, LLC, a firm with offices in Columbus and Springfield, Ohio, providing comprehensive fee-only financial advice to middle-income clients.

In addition to holding a master's degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Illinois, Jill has earned a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ license and is a Registered Investment Adviser with the State of Ohio.

Jill has been quoted in several publications, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Barron's, Money Magazine, Kiplinger's, Mutual Funds Magazine, Working Woman, and the Columbus Dispatch.  Television appearances include CNNfn, and CNBC and she was interviewed on NPR's Marketplace Money.  Jill was named one of the 100 great financial planners in the U.S. by Mutual Funds Magazine.

Jill is the author of The Young Couple's Guide to Growing Rich Together, published by McGraw-Hill.  She has written monthly columns on personal finance for the Moneylife section of the iVillage website (www.ivillage.com) and writes the "Your money questions answered" column for All*You magazine.

Jill is a member of the Alliance of Cambridge Advisors (www.acaplanners.org), a national group of fee-only financial advisors providing comprehensive planning and currently serves on the Board of Directors. She is a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the fee-only planners' association.  She teaches Economics at Wittenberg University as an Adjunct Instructor.

Jill lives in Springfield, Ohio and has two children.

            
 

Beth Pickenpaugh, MS, ASA, CDFATM

 
 
Beth is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative with the State of Ohio,  a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designee, and  a CDFATM (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst).   Her background includes experience in Actuarial Pension Consulting with Watson Wyatt in San Francisco.   

Beth received an MS in Operations Research and Mathematics from the College of William and Mary.  In addition, she served as an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at the College of William and Mary, teaching Calculus.  She has been a member of the Society of Actuaries since 1988. 

Part of  Beth's practice is devoted to the financial settlement aspects of those going through the divorce process.  She feels strongly that this is an area where financial planning services are invaluable and underutilized.

Beth is grateful for her husband, Dave, and her four children - two in the Upper Arlington Schools, and two in college.  Life experience is a great teacher.
 
Beth is located in the Columbus office.


 

                
 

Melanie Cochran

 
 
Melanie is a Financial Planning Analyst with Gianola Financial Planning, LLC.  She works in the Springfield office and assists in the preparation for client meetings.
 
Melanie is a graduate of Miami University with a bachelor's degree in Accountancy.  She also works part-time as the Fiscal Officer of Bethel Township in Clark County.
 
Melanie is currently studying to obtain her Certified Financial Planner designation.  She lives in New Carlisle with her husband and her dog Sophie.

 

 

    
 
Mindy Westfall

Mindy is a Financial Planning Assistant with Gianola Financial Planning, LLC.  She works in the Columbus office, scheduling client appointments and managing the office.

Mindy graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in business.  She lives in Upper Arlington with her husband and two sons.
